Ingredients

  • 2 oz Blanco tequila
  • 2 oz Fresh apple cider
  • 0.75 oz Orange liqueur
  • 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 0.25 oz Maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 0.25 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • Ice as needed
  • Lime wedge for the rim
  • Thin apple slices
  • Lime wheels
  • Cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  • Prepare the rim
Combine the sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the edge of a rocks glass, then dip into the cinnamon sugar.
  • Fill the cocktail shaker
Add the tequila, apple cider, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and maple syrup to a shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake until chilled
Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds, until the shaker feels very cold.
  • Prepare the glass
Fill the cinnamon-sugar-rimmed glass with fresh ice.
  • Strain and adjust
Strain the cocktail over the ice. Taste and adjust with a little lime juice or maple syrup if needed.
  • Garnish and serve
Add an apple slice, lime wheel, and cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.

Notes

Fresh, unfiltered apple cider delivers a fuller apple flavor. Taste before adding more maple syrup, since cider sweetness varies. For a pitcher, mix ingredients ahead and refrigerate without ice, then serve over fresh ice.
