Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Hamburger buns
  • Lettuce tomato, mustard, mayo (optional toppings)

Instructions

  • 1.In a large bowl, gently mix ground beef, sour cream, ranch seasoning, bacon, and cheddar cheese until just combined.
  • 2.Form into 6 equal patties. Press a slight dent in the center of each.
  • 3.Cook on a grill or skillet over medium heat for 4–6 minutes per side.
  • 4.Avoid pressing patties while cooking to keep them juicy.
  • 5.Let rest for 2 minutes, then assemble with buns and toppings.

Notes

  • Use 80/20 ground beef for the best balance of flavor and juiciness. Lean meat may result in dry burgers.
  • Mix ingredients gently and briefly to avoid dense or tough patties.
  • Press a small indent in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking and prevent puffing.
  • Cook over medium heat to avoid burning the outside while keeping the inside juicy.
  • Do not press burgers while cooking, as this releases flavorful juices.
  • Let burgers rest for 2–3 minutes after cooking to retain moisture.
  • Customize easily with toppings like avocado, caramelized onions, or different cheeses.
  • For a low carb option, replace buns with lettuce wraps or keto buns.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
  • Reheat gently in a skillet for best texture and flavor retention.
